When it comes to most modern and folk art, I am an unabashed skeptic. I believe Andy Warhol was a great showman who capitalized on intellectually shallow celebrity chasers. The Sheila Hicks exhibit still looked like a bunch of yarn to me, but I appreciated the visit for the opportunity to speak with this usher, an elderly black man who has worked there for many years and clearly loved his job.

"Art is a feeling"
What people don't realize is art is a feeling. I don't care what kind of music you listen to. I don't care what paintings you like. Art is about feelings, and you aren't gonna feel the same way about a piece of art as I do - Usher at the Institute of Contemporary Art, UPenn
